The sound of “She Speaks” is, of course, phenomenal. From the first guitar notes, you know you’re in for a journey. The song doesn’t lag or become tedious, and Fernando Altonaga’s guest vocals carry the lyrics with a gravelly desperation. But for me, the possibly overlooked star is the highly visual set of lyrics. “Heart of glass with a tempered will” conveyed in such few words the pain, despair, and unyielding hope of “She Speaks.” I could go on - alas, there’s a word limit. Excited for more!
