Gothic Crypt A celebration of traditional gothic rock in all its glory! Guitar sounds and bass lines in the vein of legends like the Sisters of Mercy, (Death) Cult or The Mission, romantically dark melodies and poetic lyrics essential for a sombre goth hymn, while the vocals range from baritone to aggressive outbursts reminiscent of the Nephilim's Carl McCoy. E-elzebub The sound of “She Speaks” is, of course, phenomenal. From the first guitar notes, you know you’re in for a journey. The song doesn’t lag or become tedious, and Fernando Altonaga’s guest vocals carry the lyrics with a gravelly desperation. But for me, the possibly overlooked star is the highly visual set of lyrics. “Heart of glass with a tempered will” conveyed in such few words the pain, despair, and unyielding hope of “She Speaks.” I could go on - alas, there’s a word limit. Excited for more! Favorite track: She Speaks.

Absolutely one of my favorite goth rock bands and albums!! I listen to this album on repeat sometimes; it just never gets old to me. It’s so haunting and beautiful in places and dark and gritty in others, which makes it exemplary goth rock music in my opinion. Exactly the kind of listening experience I want and enjoy so much.
